Larvae appears to be pre-pupal (?)
Except for the mesic hardwoods surrounding the lake, this area is mostly pine-barrens like habitat, with a good population of calanus. Many roads are bordered by Quercus ilicifolia, and I presumed that this population was mostly oak feeders. There are three large Juglans, and a number of small saplings around the boat ramp/parking area where this larvae was found.
I have searched Juglans in many areas over the past two months for eggs or larvae, and this is the first I've found.
