| Desert Bahia is a very common plant on the alluvial fan outside of Dog Canyon. When I first saw the yellow larvae on the left, I was thinking sawfly, until I noticed all of the appendages of a caterpillar. The small Nymphalid larvae on the right is probably Chlosyne lacinia, which is said to be highly variable. (Brock et.al. 2005). Any ID help with either would be greatly appreciated. |
