| This small grass skipper larva matches the general description for Amblyscirtes linda: ["Pale bluish white, covered with white hairs; head white with reddish brown and black markings"]. The larva was found at a location where Linda's Roadside skipper occurred earlier, and this would be the larva for the second brood. The larva appeared to be fully mature, if not pre-pupal. The timing would be good for a second brood in July. Unfortunately, I "lost" this one when I went for more camera batteries. |
